Mark J.T. Griffin

Mark J.T. Griffin was born in March 1958 in Wolverhampton studying at Highfields School and the University of Wolverhampton. He describes himself as a polymath and divides his time between writing, film, music, drama and theatre. He has written numerous articles and short stories.

Over the years he has written four novels "Going Home" "Richard of Eastwell", "Cathar Prophecy" and  "Angel House" plus a book of short stories and poetry.

He has also written the acclaimed biography, “Vangelis: The Unknown Man - Complete”, produced an album of electronic music called “E-Klek-Tik” and has continued in this sphere releasing three additional E-Klek-Tik albums. 

Between 2018 and 2204 he wrote/directed the multi award winning feature film "Lawrence: After Arabia" and the multi-award winning documentary and supporting book "Who Killed Lawrence of Arabia?"​

Who Killed Lawrence of Arabia? 

 

The non-fiction book which provides an in-depth investigation into the motorcycle crash which ended the life of T.E. Lawrence aka Lawrence of Arabia. Uncovering compelling evidence, it proves Lawrence’s crash was no accident but an assassination.

Expert input is provided by historians and accident investigators and the book delves deeply into the crash approaching the death as a murder – who would benefit and who had the means, motive and opportunity to remove Lawrence. The book investigates Lawrence’s fatal crash, his death and the aftermath. Through document examination it reveals a plethora of evidence for an assassination but none for an accident – challenging the official story.

The book is contemporary and relevant, directly connecting Lawrence’s military campaign a century ago in the Middle East to the current ongoing conflict.

Richard of Eastwell

 

In August 1485, on the eve of the battle of Bosworth, a young boy is bought by his guardian to the church of Sutton Cheney. In the church he watches a man as he prayers before the altar. He recognises the man as the same that had watched him playing when his was seven. The man is intense in his devotions and the leader of a great army. The man is King Richard III.  The king tells him that tomorrow he will fight a battle and tells him a secret that should the boy reveal it would be his end and should he lose the battle he should go to London and find a new life. They boy swears on the king’s sword to keep the secret. The king hands the boy three gifts, they king embrace and the boy is taken from the field. Years later on his deathbed, a few days before Christmas 1550, the old man tells Sir Thomas his secret and when he dies the old man is buried in the churchyard of Eastwell. The parish church records record the death :   Rychard Plantagenet, December 22nd 1550. Who was the old man? An impostor taking on airs and graces? Or was the old man perhaps Richard, son of Edward IV, younger brother of Edward V and one of the princes in the tower?
